Charlie Siem: A Portrait in Film

A profile of Charlie Siem, one of today’s foremost young violinists. Born in London to a Norwegian father and British mother, he studied the violin first at the Royal College of Music with Itzhak Rashkovsky, and later Shlomo Mintz, whilst furthering his broader education at Eton College and Cambridge University. Siem works with many of the world’s finest orchestras (such as the London Symphony and Rotterdam Philharmonic) and conductors (including Charles Dutoit, Edward Gardner, Yannick Nézet-Séguin, Sir Roger Norrington, Libor Pešek and Yuri Simonov). Passionate about bringing classical music to new audiences around the world, Siem has also had numerous violin-inspired collaborations with fashion brands including Dunhill, Armani, Boss, and Dior.
